xx The glitches have been defeated.

First, I want to apologize for how long these glitches have been here. I've been busy and my internet has been down.

The glitches that were on the home page, useful info, and certain articles have been fixed.

I also want to thank Logitech for bringing these to my attention.

xx Please welcome Braddoc and Raion to the moderation team
April 29, 2008, 04:44:08 PM by Tippmaster
I am pleased to announce that Braddoc and Raion have both been nominated as members of the moderation team on a trial basis. Both of these members have been upstanding members of model98.net and model98.org for quite a long time. With their addition to the team, we feel like we can look forward to a more regulated and higher quality community.

xx User submitted mods section - making a comeback
December 13, 2007, 03:52:36 PM by Tippmaster
I've decided to start working on a new system of user submitted mods. Rather than the lame email based thing we're using now.

I'm also going to be extremely leinient on this. If it's a 98 mod it will be approved, to put it simply.

Other possibilities are a rating system, and the ability to mark a mod as a favorite. We'll see i guess, but keep an eye out. I want everyone to submit like crazy. If i see one that I REALLY like, it will be added as an official Model98.org mod (with your permission of course) I'm also looking to add a Mod Team that will help out with the approval of mods as well as moderation. Upstanding members who add many quality mods and review other mods will be selected. As always, your input, as an m98 member, is the most important thing to me, so I'd like any other suggestions you can give.

Thanks,

-Tippmaster

xx New Mods Section Now Functioning
September 09, 2007, 06:55:35 PM by Tippmaster
Our new mods section is finally finished!

This is one of the biggest changes Model98.org has gone through. The new mods section now allows you to do many more things, and do them easily.

Printer friendly function- If you need to print out a mod for any reason, be it that you want to take instructions with you, we now have a link that will take you to a plain-text version of the page along with the pictures. This means faster printing and clearer information.

"Send Mod to friend" - This links you to a form which can be used to send the mod to a friend via email. Extremely convienient for everyone.

Comment posting - yes, you can now post comments on mods themselves! How cool is that? This will be used for opinions on the mod rather than questions about it. We have a "Mod Help" forum for that.

Rating system - not QUITE done yet, but this will allow you to rate the mod 1 out of 5 stars. This can be used to show you opinion on the clarity of instructions, quality of pictures, and overall helpfulness of the mod. It will be up soon, hopefully.

Also, on the mods home page, you will see quick links to the newest mod, as well as a random "mod of the moment," which will become of more use as our mod section grows.

Lastly, this is definately worth a mention. The reason why it took as long as it did is basically because internet explorer kept giving us random layout problems. Next time you see Bill Gates, give him a nice, swift kick. As always I reccomend you view Model98.org in Opera web browser, or Firefox should do ok too.

xx Gallery Updated - Mods Section Preview
September 06, 2007, 08:54:31 PM by Tippmaster
I've just updated the gallery to include all qualifying submissions sent within the last few weeks. These include some pretty cool markers, so go check it out!

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to give you guys a preview of the new mods section. I've added many new features to the mods pages themselves, these include:

Subscribing to mods
Posting Comments about mods
Rating mods
Printer friendly version of mods
Emailing mods to friends automatically
Using AOL instant messenger to send a mod to a friend automatically

Big thanks to raion for helping me out with importing the mods into the new mods section. We're not quite done yet, but we're getting there. Be sure to tell her thanks if you see her around the forums.

Lastly, Paint Freak 98 and I are looking for article-worthy posts in our forums every day. They will all soon be added for easy access!
